What is the best way to introduce a dog to a kitten?

At my job today a kitten is stuck in a raccoon trap, they are going to take it to the pound. I have been wanting a cat for some time but never got one.

It is very young and quite sweet considering the fear it most be in.

Now, i have a dog. She has only seen a few stray cats and has barked at them. I understand that it will take some time and may have to seperate them but what is the best way to introduce them and make sure my dog does not see it as a threat

well i don't really no my friend has 3 cats and 3 dogs inside and they have 1 dog outside they just let them do what every then when they started fighting with the dogs they put them in another room for a few mins. and when they would fight they would keep doing that then a few weeks later the dogs don't do nothing to the cats and the cats don't do nothing to the dogs so try that

you have to put them up close together and if they start niping back them up until they be friendly
