Even if they're arrested, they'll be out in 2-3 days. Laws are the problem. These guys don't care because they're not being locked up. Those same punks wont even try that in Indonesia because of their laws.

The prison system is overcrowded. The province needs to increase capacity, but instead we get $800M parking lots for a luxury spa and $3B in bribe cheques instead of fixing healthcare, the education system, or providing the legal system with support.

The feds are dragging their feet in appointing the federal judges while the province isn't appointing enough judges nor are they keeping up with having actual courts open. Everyone has rights in Canada, and one of those rights is to be tried in a timely manner. The province needs to step up and not do preformative things like getting rid of bike lanes when it won't help at all.

I am not going to read your whole post but I had been getting terribly ripped off and I get a DM that the worst one is doing it again. Not much against SW but bad at spas their is betterfish. They can not rip off enough from ordinary joe to the tune of 5 figures. It is the law of the land. Do not know what pussy codes you grew up on. They haven’t at all. The only thing that the increased penalization has done was make some prison companies wealthier.

You need to provide an alternative before you crack down. Eg when London introduced the congestion tax, they also doubled the size of the bus fleet in the area so people can move around easily. But there’s going to be some who don’t care and will drive anyways.

Many, but not all, of the people committing the crimes would probably choose something else if they could. Some, like a teenager I know, are too stupid to realize the consequences and will do shit like this just for the fun of it. But there’s plenty more that commit crimes because they feel that they have no alternative.

As for those committing new crimes while on bail… the province needs to address that with better funding of the legal system. They would rather spend $3B on bribes than fix health care or education. The prisons are already too full and putting more into the prison would just have those charged with being able to get out on poor treatment while in jail.

Anyways, I’ve been in WASH court and, yes, a majority of the people on the docket have broken their bail conditions . They commit a crime and then get out but the conditions that drove them to commit the crimes haven’t changed.

Legit business or otherwise, small or large, etc.. spas do not deserve to be robbed especially in a violent traumatic way.
Unfortunately, they have always presented as soft targets. Many incidents are not reported.
The fact is most of the MPAs and owners, have families and are just trying to make a living the best way they can.
Some do make make a good living ....but sometimes at the expense of physical and mental health.

So we do have to care and be supportive of the women who work in this industry.
As someone said... we might be in the middle of a session...then what ?

It is in fact still a crime for which the workers are granted amnesty as vulnerable workers. There is a reason it is a crime and they are seriously cashing in. I do not believe in violence against women but some of them are doing a lot of harm too. It is what it is.
