To the op:

It's difficult enough to find someone to partner with, if two guys want to marry? more power to them. Same for women.

I read somewhere that the number 1 concern to many americans is the gay marriage issue. Number 2? Terrorism.

How fucked is that? They are more concerned with two people of the same sex celebrating their feelings for each other than getting blown up or radiated. I mean really. They'd freak if they saw two guys on a plane holding hands all the while Osama in the first row is trying to light his nikes......I can see it now:

I'm one of those Americans that couldn't care less who marries who. I'm a live and let live type of guy. As long as no children or animals are involved and all participants are involved voluntarily...go for it.

Drugs should be legal (like alcohol...same kind of rules about age and when you can/cannot use)

Adult sex industry should be legal and open.

Marriage doesn't belong to the church...its a concept for all and people can interpret it how they wish!



Part of our problem is the majority rule. So that even if a small group isn't hurting themselves or others, they can be prevented by the majority who disagree with their actions. That's my biggest problem with the US. I wish the founding fathers had been more clear about the government staying out of our lives!

I'm with you there Prim0.....I also bet you'd like them to have put something in about separating the church and state.......Bush and his BS policy regarding stem cell research did more harm than good.....I liked it when O'Bama made his speech and said "and yes, stem cell research WILL be permitted" (or words to that effect that basically said "fuck you bush")

Speaking of US presidents: there's all this crap about Reagan on the tube since it would have been his 100th birthday this year. There was a program on PBS about him and you can blame the current economic situation solely on HIS shoulders......his policy of less regulations insured that the lunatics on wall street were put in charge of the asylum and look at the result.....
